Affiliate Disclosure
This page is a plain-language draft. A lawyer hasn’t reviewed it yet, and it may change before Kaizora launches.
Kaizora makes money in two ways: Kaizora Plus, and affiliate links on the Products pages. It never shows ads and never sells your data.
What an Affiliate Link Is
Some brands and stores pay a commission when someone buys through a link from a site like ours. If you buy a device through an affiliate link on Kaizora’s site, we may earn a commission. You pay the same price either way.
Where Things Stand
Kaizora hasn’t joined any affiliate programs yet, so no link on the site is an affiliate link today. Every product link goes to the brand’s own page and earns us nothing. When we join a program, this page will name it, and its links will be marked as described below.
How Affiliate Links Are Marked
- Every Products page says at the top that it may contain affiliate links, and links to buy a product appear only on its own page.
- Each affiliate link is labelled “Affiliate link” right beside it, and every other link is labelled “Not an affiliate link”.
- Affiliate links are marked for search engines as sponsored.
How Products Are Chosen
- Only devices and apps whose data Kaizora imports, or soon will, are listed, so every link is useful to someone using Kaizora.
- Each one is described with what it measures, how its data reaches Kaizora, and its limits as well as its strengths.
- Products are grouped into categories by what they are and listed by name within each. The picks on the Products home, one in each category, are chosen for how much of their data reaches Kaizora and how well they measure. Nothing is ever chosen or ranked by commission, and a brand can’t pay to be listed or picked.
- There are no prices on the site, since they change. Check the price where you buy.
Programs
[Once joined, list each affiliate program here, for example Amazon Associates for the US and Canada, with the wording each one requires.]
Why We Tell You
You should know when someone may earn money from a recommendation. This disclosure follows the US Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and the Competition Bureau of Canada’s guidance on misleading representations.
