What You Can Track
Hundreds of exactly defined metrics in five areas, each area a page of tabs. Anything logged or imported can carry a note.
Health
- Body
- Weight, height, body fat percentage, muscle and bone mass, visceral fat, body water, and many circumferences. From DEXA scans, bone density with T- and Z-scores at the spine and hip, and regional fat and lean mass.
- See the guide: What Each Health Page Is For
- Vitals
- Blood pressure, heart rate down to minute-level streams, resting and walking heart rate, HRV as SDNN and RMSSD, SpO₂, respiratory rate, temperature by site, glucose from a meter or a CGM, spirometry, AFib burden, and ECG recordings with their classification.
- Sleep
- Time in bed, asleep, awake, and in light, deep, and REM sleep, nights and naps alike. Each sleep’s total sleep time, efficiency, onset latency, and wake after sleep onset, as the AASM defines them, and the apnea–hypopnea index from a sleep study, a home test, or a CPAP machine.
- See the guide: Log and Read Your Sleep
- Hearing
- The sound levels around you and in your headphones, and audiograms: each ear’s threshold at each frequency from 250 to 8000 Hz, with its pure-tone average.
- Wellbeing
- Mood, energy, and stress from 1 to 5, the Karolinska Sleepiness Scale, and the 10-item Perceived Stress Scale.
- Symptoms
- A symptom diary on PRO-CTCAE’s severity scale, pain from 0 to 10, and bowel movements on the Bristol Stool Form Scale, as IBS diaries record them.
- See the guide: Keep a Symptom Diary
- Menstrual Cycle
- Each day’s flow, spotting, cervical mucus, and home tests, with pregnancy, lactation, and contraception over their spans. Cycle and period lengths are computed from your days, as FIGO defines them, with no predictions.
- See the guide: Track Your Menstrual Cycle
- Labs
- Each result at the time its sample was taken and at the lab that ran it, including results like “< 0.5” and the range the lab printed: lipids including ApoB and Lp(a), metabolic, liver, kidney, iron, thyroid, and sex hormones, PSA, and a full blood count.
- See the guide: Log Your Lab Results
Nutrition
- Food Log
- Today’s energy, protein, carbohydrate, and fat against your targets, and every food you ate, with up to about 80 nutrients. A food is logged by choosing it and an amount, never by typing its nutrients.
- See the guide: Log a Food
- Food Database
- USDA FoodData Central’s Foundation Foods, shared by everyone, and the foods you add yourself, each with its nutrients per 100 g and portions such as a cup. Found by the start of any word in its name, your favorites first.
- See the guide: Find Foods in the Food Database
Activity
- Activities
- Workouts and sessions such as runs, saunas, and meditation, strength training set by set, calendar events, time tracked with the timer, steps, and exercise minutes.
- See the guide: Log Strength Training Sets
- Fitness
- Benchmark tests such as VO₂ max, a 500 m row, a dead hang, grip strength, push-ups, and the sitting-rising test, each with your personal best, and an estimated one-rep max for the back squat, bench press, and deadlift.
- See the guide: Log a Fitness Test and See Your Personal Best
- Time
- Where your hours go: asleep, in each kind of activity, tracked, at home, and at work.
- See the guide: Track Time With the Timer
Location
- Location History
- Your days as stays and trips, with how far each trip went and a map of one day’s path. Locations come from Google Maps Timeline, your photos, tracking while the app is open, or entries by hand, and each knows its country.
- See the guide: Read Your Location History
- Air Quality
- CO₂, particulate matter, VOCs, ozone, radon, and more from your own monitors, joined with where you were as your exposure. Outdoor air from public monitoring stations near you, through the US EPA’s AirNow, labelled preliminary.
- See the guide: Read the Air Quality Page and Your Exposure
- Places
- Home, work, a gym, or any place you go often, each a named circle that measures your time there and names the stays of your days.
- See the guide: Add Your Places
Money
- Transactions
- Each transaction in its own currency, with a category from a standard list, imported from your bank’s CSV files in any layout. Transfers between your own accounts are left out of income and spending.
- See the guide: Log Transactions and Set Their Categories
- Balances
- Your net worth over time, or one account’s balance history, with other currencies converted at the exchange rate of their own date.
- See the guide: Record Balances and See Your Net Worth
- Accounts
- Your accounts, such as checking, savings, and credit cards, each with its institution, archived when you close it.
- See the guide: Add Your Accounts
What Kaizora Does With It
Everything you track is one kind of thing, a metric’s values over time, so every tool works on all of it.
- Logging
- Log anything from the header on every page, in any sensible unit and at any time in the past. One dialog creates and edits each kind of entry.
- See the guide: Log a Value
- Calculated Values
- BMI, waist-to-height ratio, basal metabolic rate by the formula you choose, the sleep metrics, HOMA-IR, mean arterial pressure, time at places, distance travelled, countries visited, net worth, and savings rate, computed from your current data whenever you look.
- See the guide: Which Values Does Kaizora Calculate?
- Scores
- The Sleep Regularity Index, and the Kaizora Sleep, Longevity, and Financial Health Scores. Each shows how it’s calculated: every component’s weight and points, and every input’s value.
- See the guide: Read a Score's How It's Calculated
- Reference Ranges
- Ranges from published guidelines from the start, such as the ACC/AHA blood pressure categories, the WHO’s BMI categories, and the Dietary Reference Intakes, and your own, by sex and age. Values outside one are flagged with their severity.
- See the guide: Add a Reference Range
- Habits
- A target checked every day over a window of days, such as a number of steps a day or minutes of exercise in any 7 days, with streaks in days and one heatmap of every habit.
- See the guide: Build a Habit
- Notifications
- When a metric goes out of range, a habit needs attention, or a connection stops syncing, once for each change, while the app is open. Anything shown outside the app says only what kind of thing happened.
- See the guide: Choose Your Notifications
- Trends
- Changes that stand out from how a metric usually moves, read plainly, such as weight down over the last 7 days, on Home and each area’s overview.
- See the guide: What Trends Tell You
- Correlations and Discover
- Up to five metrics on one chart. Discover, part of Kaizora Plus, ranks every pair of your metrics by how strongly they move together, including with a lag of a few days.
- See the guide: Compare Metrics on One Chart
- Timeline
- Everything recorded, newest first, across every area and grouped by day, with a night’s sleep as one entry and a day’s locations as its stays and trips.
- See the guide: Look Back on Any Day With the Timeline
- Home and the AI Overview
- Getting-started steps, your favorite metrics with their last 30 days, what’s out of range, your habits, and Trends. The AI Overview, part of Kaizora Plus, is a short summary of recent changes written by Claude, only once you agree.
- See the guide: Get an AI Overview of Your Data
- Search and Shortcuts
- ⌘K or Ctrl+K reaches any metric, page, or action by name, and keyboard shortcuts cover logging, the timer, and moving between pages.
- See the guide: Search and Keyboard Shortcuts
- Devices
- What measured each value, with its make, model, and software versions over time, so a chart can be broken down by device when two scales disagree.
- See the guide: Add Your Devices
- Units and Currencies
- Display units for each kind of quantity, from kilograms or pounds to your country’s standard drinks, and 39 currencies, each amount converted at the US Treasury’s rate on its date.
- See the guide: How Kaizora Handles Other Currencies
- Export and Deletion
- Everything you logged and imported, free, as a ZIP with a CSV file per table, and any table as CSV or JSON. Deleting your account removes every row.
- See the guide: Export Your Data
- Languages and Platforms
- The app is in English, French, and Spanish. It runs in your browser on phones, tablets, and computers, and installs from the browser as an app of its own. Desktop, iPhone, and Android apps are coming.
- See the guide: Install Kaizora as an App
What You Can Import
Each file is read on your device and never uploaded. Importing it again, or a newer export, updates what it brought instead of duplicating it, and deleting a source’s data removes exactly what it brought.
Vitals, sleep with its stages, workouts, steps, nutrition, cycle data, ECGs, audiograms, and more, from your iPhone’s export
Body composition, blood pressure, and more, from your Withings data export
Foods eaten, with their nutrients
CO₂, temperature, humidity, and air pressure from the Aranet Home app’s export
Transactions from your bank’s CSV files, in any layout
Events from any calendar that exports iCalendar (.ics), repeats included
Your location history, from Timeline’s export
Where and when each photo was taken, read on your device: the photos themselves are never uploaded
Coming soon: a live connection to Withings that syncs every hour.
What Kaizora Doesn’t Do Yet
So you know before you start:
- The live connection to Withings is built and coming; everything else arrives as a file. Oura, Garmin, and Google Health aren’t connected yet.
- There’s no iPhone or Android app in the stores yet, and no Apple Health sync on the phone: import a newer export to update.
- There’s no bank sync: transactions come from your bank’s CSV files.
- Notifications and location tracking work only while the app is open, and the app needs a connection.
- Medications can’t be tracked yet.
- Kaizora isn’t a medical device. Its ranges and flags are information, not medical advice.
