Log a Fitness Test and See Your Personal Best

Log benchmark tests such as grip strength, a dead hang, or a 500 m row, and follow each one and your personal best on the Fitness page.

Updated

Activity › Fitness tracks what your body can do through benchmark tests. Each test is its own metric, logged as a single value.

The Tests

  • VO₂ Max, from a maximal test, and Estimated VO₂ Max, a watch’s estimate, kept apart since they give different numbers.
  • 500 m Rowing Ergometer Time, on an air-braked rowing machine.
  • Dead Hang Time, your longest hang from a bar.
  • Left Hand Grip Strength and Right Hand Grip Strength, on a dynamometer, in kilogram-force or pound-force.
  • Maximum Push-Ups and Maximum Pull-Ups, the most in a row.
  • Sitting-Rising Test Score, from 0 to 10.
  • The estimated one-repetition maximums for the back squat, bench press, and deadlift, calculated from your strength training sets.

Log a Test

  1. Choose Log, then the test, such as Dead Hang Time.
  2. Type the result in the unit you have, such as seconds, minutes, or a number of repetitions.
  3. Set the time and choose Log.

Your Personal Best

Benchmarks, at the top of the Fitness page, draws each test you’ve taken over the chart’s range, with your personal best. Each test knows which way is better: a longer hang, a shorter row. A test’s own page shows its personal best of all time on its chart.
