Track Your Menstrual Cycle

Log each cycle day and any pregnancy, lactation, or contraception, and see your cycle and period lengths on the Menstrual Cycle page.

Updated

Health › Menstrual Cycle records each day as you’d note it, and works out your cycles from those days.

Log a Cycle Day

  1. Choose Log, then Cycle Day.
  2. Fill in what you noted that day, and leave the rest empty:
    • Flow: no flow, light, medium, or heavy, or flow with the amount not recorded.
    • Period Started, on the first day of a period.
    • Spotting.
    • Cervical Mucus, from dry to egg white.
    • Ovulation Test, Pregnancy Test, and Progesterone (PdG) Test results.
    • Sexual Activity, and whether Protection Used.
  3. Set the date and choose Log.

Log Pregnancy, Lactation, or Contraception

These change what a cycle means, so each is logged over its span:

  1. Choose Log, then Pregnancy, Lactation, or Contraception.
  2. Choose the State, and for contraception its Method.
  3. Set its start. Leave its end empty while it’s ongoing, and edit it to add the end once it’s over.

What the Page Shows

  • Where you are: the day of your cycle today, and the range of your recent cycles’ lengths, such as “Your last 6 cycles were 27–31 days.”
  • Cycles by Day: your cycles one above another, aligned by cycle day, with flow, spotting, ovulation test surges, egg white mucus, positive tests, temperature, and any pregnancy, lactation, or contraception.
  • Metrics: each cycle’s length, from the first day of a period to the first day of the next, and each period’s length, its days of bleeding. A cycle during a pregnancy has no length.

No Predictions

Kaizora doesn’t predict your next period or a fertile window. A calendar guess is wrong for most people, and a fertile window shouldn’t be used as contraception. The page sticks to facts: where you are, and how your recent cycles went.

Who Sees the Page

Menstrual Cycle is in Health’s tabs unless your profile’s sex is male, until you log cycle data. Search reaches it for everyone.

Your cycle data is never part of the AI overview. Cycle days, pregnancy, lactation, and contraception also come in from an Apple Health export.
