Turn On Two-Factor Authentication
Ask for a code from an authenticator app each time you sign in, add the app on a second device, and what to do if you lose one.
Updated
With two-factor authentication on, signing in takes your password and a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone, so your password alone can’t open your account. It works with any authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password, or your phone’s built-in passwords app.
Turn It On
- Open Settings, then the Security tab.
- Under Two-Factor Authentication, choose Turn on.
- Give the device your app is on a Device Name, such as “My phone”, and choose Continue.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or type the Secret into it.
- Enter the Code the app shows, and choose Verify and turn on.
From now on, signing in, opening an emailed link, or resetting your password stops at Enter Your Code before anything opens.
Add a Second Device
There are no recovery codes, so add the app on a second device, such as a tablet or a second phone, so losing one doesn’t lock you out:
- On the Security tab, choose Add another app.
- Name the device and scan the code with the app on it, as above, then choose Verify and add.
Each app is listed by its name and the date it was added.
Remove an App
Choose Remove beside it, and enter a code from any of your apps. Removing your only app turns two-factor authentication off, and signing in takes only your password again.
If You Lose Every Device
Without a code, Kaizora can’t let you in. Write to Kaizora’s support to get back into your account.
